Open-Source Habit Change

Habit Labs is founded by Leo Babauta of Zen Habits and Sam “Gentoku” McCree of MindFitMove.

It’s a testing ground for how habits are formed — by helping people create new habits, we’re testing every assumption we make about habits.

And in the end, creating the optimal habit formula.

Here’s how the open-source habit change will work, once we’ve done some testing:

  1. We’ll help people share their habit change formulas, along with results & stats.
  2. Other people can then  use & test that same formula, or alter it and publish the new version.
  3. By looking at everyone else’s habit formulas & results, we can all learn from each other.

We’ll be one huge habit lab.
